CHILD CARE VOTER PLEDGE
ELECTORAL JUSTICE
Child care is love, labor, and liberation.
Every child deserves care that is safe, joyful, and rooted in community. Every parent deserves to go to work or rest knowing their child is nurtured and protected. And every provider, especially Black, Indigenous, and Immigrant, deserves respect, fair pay, and the resources to do the work that sustains our communities.
But in Oregon today, families are being stretched thin. Parents are forced to make impossible choices. Child care providers, many of them working long hours alone, are underpaid and undervalued. Our system is failing the very people who hold it up.
That’s why we helped found the Child Care for Oregon Coalition: to build a bold, community-led vision for a new system that honors our care workers, uplifts our children, and centers the voices of those most impacted.
We need elected officials who will fight for us, for the parents, providers, and children who have gone unseen for far too long.
Sign the pledge. Let your voice be heard. Let’s demand a child care system that works for all of us.
